Rubia

Images from sessions in Dusseldorf and Brussels.

In 2014 I had the opportunity to work with Rubi Stri in Dusseldorf. My goal was to learn more on how to mix artificial as well as ambient light light in an indoor location and improve on composition.

Rubia is not only a wonderful model but a very charming person making it a delight to work with her.

So last winter when we visited Brussels for a few days I wanted to use the opportunity to do another photo session with her. She was kind enough to follow my invitation and we met in a compound near Brussels city center to take some images.

Unfortunately the day in Brussels was completely grey so that I had to use artificial light to achieve the sunny look we had in mind. I applied a light meter and two Profoto B1 Mono Lights with strip boxes and a large white panel from the right to mimic the sunlight.

I used a Phaseone IQ camera for both session to capture the images.
